Most Likely a Stupid Question

But I've seriously looked everywhere and can't find a solid answer. on stock carbs on a 79 Special, should I run the bike with the enricher lever up or down? Runs great down, runs like shit up when I give it throttle.

The enrichers should only be down for cold starting for about a minute then up for normal use, sounds like you have blocked jets or an air leak.

I meticulously cleaned the carbs so I will start hunting for an air leak. Thanks!
