Got the tank back from paint. Had it done at my old work and it turned out awesome

No I kept it I was just waiting for the hi-temp to dry.

Well picked up the pwk carb kit from a fellow member over the weekend and got it mounted up, so I figued it was time for some more pics

haven't started it yet, but they came from gravelman who put 17 miles on them and realized he would have to cut his side covers in order to run them and wasn't willing to do it.

He says they ran well on his early motor and this ones a 71 so i'm hoping for good results and taking care to ensure the cables don't hang up as I've noticed they are prone to do.
 
Congrats on the little one! cute lil guy... The bike is looking awesome I Really like how its shaping up.. I especially like the tank! Good stuff your bike is in my top 5..
Oh 1 question.. Is your front end stock?

That is a stock 77 front end with polished lowers and mikes fork gators.
 
I am totally stealing your idea for trim and polish on those rims. Hope ya don't mind. I think it looks damned sharp.
