XS650 Addict
Just wanted to say hi to all on the forum. Been here for the couple of months that I've had my 650. I bought it as a non-runner, got it registered and now getting it ready to ride. The pictures don't really do justice to its poor condition. It looks as though it was dragged through the desert and left out. It comes with 6k on the odo and things are clean enough inside.
I'm anxious to get it going and ride it the rest of the summer. I'll pull the motor and do the frame and re-wire it, probably during the winter as time and my approximately zero budget allow. I've already swapped in a 35mm front end, added a new brake line, painted, thrown on an old 2/1 exhaust, new tires, battery, set the timing. It starts on the first kick and I know at least three gears work.
For now I've got to fab a seat and fender/taillight and get the gauges or a new speedo solution rigged up, and ride.
