New Project

howdy folks, I haven't posted anything really worth while, but have been reading alot. You guys are great and all the ideas with these bikes are awesome. Anyway I just picked up another 650 tonight for $650 bucks with a clean title, A running 1979 with 11,000 on the clock. Has a nice set of wheels on it, it doesn't have that shoulder on it like most of them you see out there. This will be my sixth 650 now, I built a chopper and have had a few stock ones and semi-restored a '77 that a guy out in California bought. Plans are with this one is to try out the new David Bird hardtail. I won't start a build thread until I have some progress going but I will be snapping some pics to post when i do start the thread. Anyway time to tear down the motor, rebuild it, possibly 750 kit, (we'll see financially) and start hacking away at the frame. Cheers.

When haven't created anything in a long time, I don't get antsy. I kinda get mopey and have a lot of mood swings. So I start up a new sketch or project and it switches my gears, and puts me in a better mood. Splatter paint is always fun, you'll have fun with that.

<sigh> I find myself thinking the same thoughts. That really does look like a clean, unmolested Special II. Oh well. I suppose if you sell the parts you pull off it, they'll make somebody happy to get them.
