No Spark

I have an 81 xs and have no spark to the plugs, got power going to coil, red and white wire and orange wire i have 2.52 ohms, checked kill switch and it seems to be working. Could it possibly be the pickup on the rotor and if so is there a way to check it? From what i read it appears the pickup tells the ignitor when to fire. So ,if its not getting anything from the pickup, could the pickup be bad and is there a way to check the pickup? Any help would be appreciated.

Ok im back in business after trouble shooting for two days!!! I found on the plug for the rectifier that the red wire was not fully engaged on the plug. Took it out cleaned reinstalled it and bang fire in the hole.
