Won't Spin by Hand?
Bought a nice dormant project from a busy man a couple hours away, he had stopped working on it several years ago and you know.
I need to top off the motor and checking the side cover, the oil pump cannot be turned by my fingers, only with a wrench. Should it rotate with my fingers, or does it normally take a bit more effort. Plus, clockwise or counterclockwise?
And yes, it's a lovely matching numbers, original paint 26123 km example, but the three major locks all need different keys, so it may have a bit of a checkered history.

Actual Bits it Came With
I have a bit of clean up to do. Side case that it came with had to have the tach drive rod tapped out of it with a brass drift and the 3 pump retaining screws are seized tight so far.
My spare off the shelf may be used and it is the subject of the rotation question.

Normal rotation will be clockwise looking at it... although that won't matter for testing. It should spin freely by hand in either direction. If you need a wrench, odds are one of the internal gears has cracked.
