Ok on the oil sump cover (under the engine) the bolts are "breakaway" style - I am not sure why - but new ones are hard to find. Any reason I can't just use normal metric bolts? I think they are 6mm torqued to 7 ft pounds. (10mm head).

Also - has anyone else found the breakaway style the factory uses? If so where? Mike's doesn't seem to carry them.

The main reason they used the breakaway bolts was to prevent thread damage in the case from people that overtighten the bolts. Have a bolt break off and need replaceing is much cheaper than having the threads strip out and then repair or replace the engine cases.
Most just use a standard meteric bolt. I use allen head bolts, and just snug them up. Not real tight just snug. Check after a few heat cycles to be sure they don't loosen up.
