Hi there.

I´m about to make a switch to a long, one piece clutch push rod. Since I´m so curious I disassembled the clutch drum.......and that turned out to be a good move.

I found two broken cush springs! How come these springs are broken?? Is it due to age or something else?
Anyway, I have another drum laying around that´s in a good shape but I see there is a difference in the pattern on the bushing. Does it matters witch one I use???

(the drum with many "pits" are the broken one)

Thanks/BigBoreSwede

Broken cush springs are just something that happens to these bikes. The rear sprocket is not rubber mounted like on many other bikes. These springs on the back of the clutch basket absorb the drive line shocks instead. Sometimes they break. I don't think it matters which bushing you use.
