I do not know how de heck this thing needs to go in its slot. Everytime I put the switch in,it just slips out!!! Can someone post a picture to clarify the wherabouts of this stupid thing!!!

I have an 81 heritage special frame.

I made a custom one but it's pretty straight forward i think. Put it in the slot one nut in front of the mount one in back. Mine has a hole drilled in 1/4 inch so its not falling out. Ever. Post a pic of your set up

This is what I got, a u-shaped hole.

And here it is installed.

You need 2 nuts man!

That's what I thought! But I BOUGHT it with only the one!! Does this mean I got the wrong one??

They are pretty much universal. Just find another nut. The switch only completes the path of current when the rod is pulled.

Yes I get that, but I need it to stay put!! I'll see if I can get another nylon nut......

I don't know if you need a nylon nut. I would just put a steel one on.
