problems with electric start and kick start help!!!

I am rebuilding my motor and the kick start would turn the motor over just fine. When i got the bike wired with the electric start it worked okay but started leaking oil so i pulled the cover off and replaced the gasket for the "starter motor unit". after replacing the gasket my kick start is really hard to kick and the electric start sounds like it is barely turning. any clues to what i screwed up and what i should try to get it back to normal.

Try going back to the last thing you did and see if anything looks wrong.

Sounds like something could be binding up internally...???
As xsleo has said go over what you have done last.
