Race Tech Gold valve VS Mikes XS product??

We are always amazed at people who "Know how orientals "think " when they have never been there or done business with them.
Mike started in Japan when everyone joked about stuff from the JA Pan company ( and a lot was crude ). He then moved to Taiwan and seen the improvements in the factories over the years including the move to them using German and Japanese CNC machinery. Mainland china is now on the same learning curve and will soon eat our lunch. Paying a good price for a good product is fine but I haven't seen many rich XS riders. Harley has been having " American" parts made in Taiwan AND Japan for over 45 years as have many European Brands. China,s next planed move is to upgrade quality to a world leading level. Be thankful you have Grizl.d to set you all straight on whats correct on every technical topic. Joe

Seeing as how you seem to be in the know.........Maybe you could explain how much MikesXS/650direct/Mike L, contributed to the demise of the pamco, and why the XScharge, Pamco knock offs had so many problems..........this is 2019 not 2015, 4 years later so the Chinese manufacturing should be good to go by your reckoning

Demise of the Pamco ? Peter Mclean and Mike Lalonde co developed the ignition and Mike brought
the sales to a high level. Peter is 80 and just decided to shut the biz down and retire. He did not
want to sell the business as he did Not trust the new owners of Mikes XS and they simply copied
what peter developed but not being so smart they missed a number of key important details.
As for as the flywheel magneto they sell they are nothing but trouble and peter designed his system for the stock oem
system. XS Direct was a distributor set up by Mike for Canada as shipping to Canada was good but once the parts hit the border
it typically took 2-3 more weeks to arrive . If you want parts made in Japan, Taiwan or China you need to know
a few things and not just dump the part off without giving technical specs and design details. The current owners
( Since 2011 ) have no idea. Mike has no parts made in China but does no makers there and see's that their goal
is to upgrade the Quality of everything they make.

Most Noble : There is not much new in this world. As an example Supertraps exclusive design goes
back to the 1860's - The same design came from a steam silencer, the only thing supertraps patent covers
is some notches he put in the discs. I am sure the " Gold Valves " are a copy of someones hydraulic valve. Patents
do not cover the laws of physics or re-use of an old idea. Mike to has had idea's copied and knows that if you
can get out a year before another uses or improves on it you are really lucky.
