Removing Electric Parts

Good call, I might just leave it on, it's not doing any harm. Can remove it next year.

The safety relay keeps the starter from running under any condition if the engine in running. Its neighbor relay on the same board turns the headlight on when the engine starts.

So I can get rid of the one with the question mark if I don't use the e start but, have to keep the relay below it if I want my headlight to come on when I start it?

You can remove the "?" one.

One is for the headlights, but the other keeps the starter gears from engaging when the engine is running.

I think this is how you do it to keep the headlight on/off without having to start the bike.

"Ok, On the xs650 the headlight relay is part of the safety relay. At the safety relay jumper the red/yellow to the blue/black.
