Rusty spokes

Hard work and patience
I used a scotch pad and a 6 pack of beer

 

Wipe them down with lanolin oil.....Do that every coupe of months and they will never rust...........even works against salt

 

aluminium foil and coca cola. Great on rusty Chrome bumpers

 

I buy it by the 5 liter container............a lot cheaper than cans, but i live by the beach and use it on everything

Have never used lanolin oil but that looks a great product! Does that mean if I treat my little Honda with lanolin all over I'll be able to use it on salty winter roads without fear of it turning into an orange rusty wreck overnight?

 

I use 00 steel wool, and Turtle Wax.

a bit of nylon strap from a ratchet strap makes a good spoke cleaner, I like blue magic if I'm not going to add a clear.
Down and dirty I've brushed on silver paint. but it's pretty crude.

For the work involved vs results on XS's I use Mikes stainless spokes.

Those are my 50 year old factory spokes.

 

Good suggestions here but to be honest from the title of the thread I thought it was the name of a new biker bar in town!
