Last Sunday I was preparing a set of BS34's for cleaning, disassembling them, removing the jets, etc., when I stripped the air pilot jet. Not too hard to get to, but I wasn't in the mood to mess around anymore with them that night. Next day, when I was in a more refreshed state of mind, I was thinking how nice it would be to have a small easy out I could tap into the hole and would have enough grip to turn the jet. Then I thought about a Torx or star driver, pulled a #10 Torx out of my drill driver set, lightly tapped it into the jet until I felt it was set deep enough, and was able to remove the jet easily with a driver handle.

Today, I tried an experiment to see if I could remove the small pilot jet located inside the carb. I chose a #7 torx screwdriver, tapped it into a somewhat stripped pilot jet of a parts carb I have and again was able to remove the jet with minimal effort. Results may vary depending on the condition of the carbs, but I think this may be a viable method.
