So I figured I'd start a new thread for this new build.
This time its a 1972, it will be the Evil twin of my last build.

This one is getting some more "bling" with the chrome springer, and 80 spoke 21" front wheel....I've also decided to polish the engine covers on this one.

The Tank and rear fender will be the same as the last build, but i haven't decided on a paint scheme yet.
I'm having a hard time getting another tank at the moment, so that will have to wait.

anyway here it is so far, will update as time allows.

Honed out cylinders and installing new rings and all new gaskets.

Engine re-assembled - polished all the parts too.
Yeah there are 2 broken fins but whatever.

Oil tank came from the previous owner - Not sure exactly what brand but its been cut to leave room for the chain and the end cap will be removable with small set screws holding it on.
should be cool.
 
Well... looks like it wont be a twin of the other bike after all...
Can't get another cole foster tank till next year!!!

So looks like I'm gonna use one of the sportster tanks i already have here.

UNLESS anyone has a spare cole foster tank floating around??? or any suggestions as far as similar tanks go. Money isn't really an issue, just looking for something cool.

So i think i've found a different gas tank that may work. I won't have it till next week.
When i get it i'll make up my mind about which tank to use based on which looks best on the bike.

Here are some pics of where the bike is as of today.
With any luck i will re-assemble the bike this week and plan on doing the final paint next weekend. So it should be done soon if i get some more time to work on it.

So today i got the base coats done on the fender and the oil can.
Clear coats will have to wait till tomorrow. Still don't have a tank till next week.

Its a Gold Pearl Metallic, and a Black Pearl Metallic.
