I'm having issues switching gears. First to second is fine but anything after the i have to be at high rpms to switch gears. The same goes for down shifting the gears. Anyone have any ideas?
Shift shaft springs and adjustment. Need to pull the right side engine cover and look. Page 80 in the Clymers for adjustment procedures. Pic 7 shows one spring between change lever 1 and 2 that breaks. There is another just above the shift drum.

yea it is a fresh rebuild everything looks okay. is it possible it could have something to do with the clutch? I hoping i don't have to split the case again. clutch is hard to pull i have the after market springs. It seems to be disengaging but maybe not fully. I have no idea what is going on.
