hi guysi,ve done this before ,,,but being a few years,,,, which it shouldn,t be i,ve let them slip ,,,i cann,t remember the trick to removing the cv38 carbys ,,without having to take the boots off ,,, is the somebody can refresh me please.. as my bike is sputtering and playing up in general,,, so i figure i need to remove my carys and clean them and start riding my bike again ,,,, as i only rode it once last year due to crappy health ,, oh ,,, i running mikes oval pods on it ,they are reasonably clean not clogged at all ,there,s no air box so far the accel cable is unhocked and the clamp around the boots are both loosened regards oldbiker

Its quite easy on my 78SE, but I take them out on the right side. Remove the small bracket that holds the throttle cable, on top of the left carb. Remove the camchain adjuster nut. Remove the dip stick. Yes the manifolds stay in place.
