Ummmm..... My very different build thread

I think if you used two leaf springs mounted under the frame, just below the back bone, pointing back level with ground. Using links to attach to the swing arm. Would look good with out much extra links like you have with the verticle mount.

Changed my mind on the rear suspension, it has grown on me and it is staying as-is. Got some work done today, bars tacked up, shifter mount made, new pipes figured out.

Yup its a hurst shifter:bike:

Not sure on rear shock yet, I have a few ideas. I just need to get my hands on a shock and play around a little. The leaf spring does work and everyoine who has seen it in person agrees that this bike should ride fantastic based on the way it works during "testing"...lol

I like the leaf spring idea as well. I'd try and add some adjustability to it though so that you can tune the ride. Maybe some wedged metal plates and rubber stoppers.

I do have a plan for the kickstand....tomorrow maybe I will work on that. Well that depends on what parts show up on my door stop! Here is a better picture of the forword controls and on of the pipes.

Spent some time building a neck for my gas cap tonight. I ended up using a cap from an old honda atc because I thought it was kinda neat looking. Bad part is that you can't find a neck without buying a whole tank.

The ends of the tube where it meets the rear of the swingarm has rod ends installed to adjust ride height.

Coolest chop I've seen in years. Great engineering and fab skills.

First off....I have looked into the friction shock idea mentioned and it looks like a winner to me...THANKS twicecustom.

Got a lot of things done today, feel pretty good about it too. Managed to get my charging system thingy mounted to the top of what turned out to be my battery box. If you look at the hole in the side of the box you can see the red ballistic battery tucked neatly out of sight.

Spent some time on the foot clutch parts today as well, I managed to get the pedal fabbed up and about half of the parts for the mechanical actuater done too.

I made a seat pan out of 3/16 stainless, holy crap that shit is tuff to work with! Still messing around with ideas on how to mount it.

I actually finished a lot of little things like jetting the new carbs and figuring out my throttle cable set-up, have my sprocket spacer machined too. Turns out I will be making the offset sprocket myself.............
