Universal turn signal kit?

Have you ever bought and installed this kit? I'm currently looking for a cheap easy to install kit.
$25 seems expensive...
All you need is a $3 mechanical flasher, some wire, and a 3 position (left, off, right) switch which is probably around $5. A simple chrome 'toggle' switch looks good, in my opinion. Both should be in stock at your local auto parts store. I have never bought a turn signal 'kit', I just buy the components at the auto parts store.
Then just hook up whatever style lights you want to use.
