I was joking. It was the cliche where someone's stuck in a situation they hate and they console themselves by thinking things will change someday but they never do. But a good captain doesn't hope. My problem is always where to steer to - five years ago I wanted to live in New York City and now I'd like to be a forest ranger. lol.

Yep, I got it. I was playing along by saying that the cliche is probably true and I will be doing this forever, so I had to change my statement from "I won't be doing this forever" to "hopefully I won't be doing this forever". Damn internet..... things never seem to come across quite right. I'm not sure this explanation will either.

Ok I'll ante in here....I have been a teacher in the public schools for 25 years. As my username implies, I teach music to kids 5th grade through college. I also teach at a local University. My specialty is low brass...trombone, euphonium and tuba. I direct bands and orchestras at my school, and play music in the area on the weekends. I love my job, and love playing/teaching music. My hobbies are motorcycles...72 XS2 all stock; 69 ML 125 Harley all stock; 80 GS 850 tourer all stock and an 81 XLH 1000....all stock, but chromed.
This forum is an awesome resource for my old bike fettish, because I love to ride my old bikes and remember the "good old days". My best way to relax!

Yes, I can fix small dents in XS650 tanks... but 99.99% of my work is on cars/trucks. Only guy you will meet that is praying for a hail storm, it's like little dollar bills falling from the skies.

Retired from DuPont after 34 years. FYI- I wasted 34 years of my life. Now working for an engineering company involved in composite laying machinery and separtion technology. At 57 years of age I enjoy going to work again.

I run a directional drill installing underground utilities.
It 's a tough job and I have to work with a lot of yahoos, but hey, it pays the bills, and I'm good at it. I'm outside when the weather is bad, but I'm also outside when it's good.
