anyone know what year wheels will fit my 80 xs project? I have that stock mags now but want spokes. im lookin at a set of 75 wheels now but dont know what year will fit.

They never made a spoked disc rear wheel, just fronts.

might be a dumb question but i put my rear wheel back on after i put new bearings in and when i tighten the axel nut all the way tight the wheel still slids back anf forth...????

It sounds like your missing some parts.

I got it from the parts fiche at www.yamaha-motor.com
After I posted it I found it wasn't the best pic. gggGary's pic looks much better.

Your not nessasarily stuck with mags. The 75 wheels will bolt right on. You just need to convert to a drum rear brake. Just get the parts and they fit right on. The only real mod is getting the brake strut mount put on the bottom of the swing arm. If you get a drum brake swing arm you won't even need to do any welding.
