Spotted this on eBay. What does anyone think of this idea?

Oil pressure or temp? It sold and not for viewing anymore.
Weird, that link works for me. Here's a different way to get to it, maybe this will work for you:

It's an oil pressure gauge. 0 to 100 PSI, which is ridiculous, 0-20 would be more sensible. But, would it even work in this location?
It occurred to me that you could do the same thing would a temp gauge, but I don't think this location would yield a temp reading that was useful?

All you'd be reading with that setup is crankcase pressure. To read oil pressure you'll need to tap into a pressure passageway.
Yeah, I figured the answer was something along this. It's just too easy a solution to installing an oil pressure gauge to be true. What got me wondering, is that the eBay listing says that the gauge came off of a vintage race bike. So, I thought, maybe they know something that I don't? No, they don't.

The whole valve assembly area woud need to be filled and pressurized with oil in order to read. Maybe someone had the idea, but soon after startup figured would be best to be on ebay. Lol :laugh2:
