XS CHARGE ignition timing issue

In your video, I see you have the flywheel marked of course, but then I see two marks on your side cover. What do they represent?

No one can say if your timing is exactly correct without having marks to check it against. It's close or the bike wouldn't start easily, that's the best I can tell you.

You also want nice, thin marks like the originals .....

Big fat magic marker "swipes" will be covering like 2° to 3°. Then trying to align one fat mark to another might throw you off 4° to 5°, maybe even more.

OK, according to those instructions, the two marks you have are TDC and idle timing (15° BTDC). Watching your video you appear to be set about half way between the two. That would be retarded, maybe set around 7° or 8° BTDC. Many of us do like to set the timing a little retarded, but just slightly, like 2° or 3°. Yours may be retarded a bit too much. I'd re-set it so the flywheel mark is closer to your left mark (idle timing), not right on it but just closer to it than it is now.
