SOLDSOLDSOLD 11-30-13 Thanks to all.
Original owner! I bought it off the showroom floor! Don't ride anymore. Attached are current Pix of this bike. 95% stock. Dunstall knockoff mufflers, sound like original. Mikes XS replica seat. 38K miles. This bike is not restored. Looks very nice. Runs good, killer compression. Started on 06-20-2013 on second kick. Please realize that is has minor scratches and dings after being ridden and periodically stored for the last 43 yrs! Reply with questions if interested, and I will reply.
Asking $4100, or offer.

Original owner? Wow man. you kept her in real nice shape. Wish I had a spare 4k lying around. Good Luck

Beautifull, a credit to you.
I pray to the "Gods of speed" that someone looks after it as well as you have.

Outstanding! If you are near Spokane it would be very tempting to take a little ride! Best wishes with the sale! Would look very nice next to my '73..........Wesley

Thanks to all. I am in Longview, quite a way from Spokane. I sure would like for someone to look at it, and give me their input tho.

Looks great! Someone will snatch it up for sure. Not many survived in that condition!:thumbsup:

I'm thinking it's realistic. I would expect you will see $3500 out of it. put it on eBay and be willing to ship to Australia, maybe more.

Mike's OEM style mufflers would be a plus.....

I wouldn't sell mine for $4000. No way. But that is just me. Nice originals are too few and far between.

very nice bike. For me the Dunstalls don't look out of place.

From an Australian perspective if i payed the $3900 + importing costs i will still have to think about the mileage and the probability the cam chain will have to be replaced, meaning the front guide as well.

could be $2000 up to $2500 to import making it $6500 + the work mentioned.

Still a good buy, (again nice bike and good condition for a unmolested/restored XS1B), and would leave a small margin for profit if resold, Prices vary from state to state here.

I have seen good condition XS2's and XS1's, (Not as nice as yours), struggle to fetch $6500 up here in north Queensland

I appreciate your comments. Didn't realize they are that popular there, and am surprized by the shipping/import costs. This is first time I have placed it up for sale, so am learning. If it doesn't go, oh well. Am not firm on the price. No offers yet. Tnx

This is actually a poor place to sell nice bikes, the denizens here already have one or more XS's and only snap up bargains, LOL. I think the commando mufflers look great have a set on my 79. I'm just sayin' the early bikes are valued for stock appearance so the replica mufflers would be a plus, but don't come cheap.
Why so down on fleabay? With a serious starting bid the cutters and choppers won't be on it. A 70 recently sold for over $7000 and went to Australia. It was a low miles 70, but not as nice looking as yours. If I was closer, I might talk to you. Bike shows a lot of care over it's life time.

Sold a dragsaw on fleabay, took me 30 days to get paid from paypal, and all told, they kept almost $100.00 on a $600. sale. Maybe I should put the Mikes Xs mufflers on, rebuild the clutch, and new cam chain, then up the price, put on fea bay. Or maybe not. I had a right hip replacement. Not sure I can kick it with left foot! :)Just don't want it left for my wife to deal with. Not ready to die soon tho.

Wayne you should be able to left foot it. I will be 63 on Sunday and can kick it left or right. Beautiful bike and if runs as good as it looks I would not sell it for less than $6ooo. That would be my asking price I would sell my bike.

For what it is worth, i am going to be driving from Portland to Seattle on Wednesday evening and if you are near I-5 i could swing by and give her a looking over. Message me if that is something you might be interested in, most of my experience is with aircraft but it transfers well!
