Awesome! Now THATS a Shop Manual.
Just ordered mine from Amazon.
Rant warning:
Speaking of Shop Manuals... ever try getting one for a new-ish car lately? I tried ordering a Shop Manual for our 2015 Jeep Compass just after we bought it (used) early last year. Nope. JEEP only sells a CD, for $150
. And it has to be used in a web browser, IE7
(!!) , NOT Windows 10 compatible. No pdf available. If you want electrical diagrams (which is what I needed, and did not find out until AFTER I ordered the CD), you have to pay for a 3 day ($35) or 7 day ($70), or 30 day ($250), or one year ($1800!) subscription for access to everything online, then using your current W10 browser, you can access the JEEP website to download them. I paid for the three day, upgraded my Internet Provide speed package, and spent a long weekend downloading electrical and related items. I had to go this route trying to solve an electrical problem, where the dealer quoted me "at least" 6 hours to troubleshoot, at $150/hour.
It is the most infuriating system and manual I have ever used. Since then (as in I just discovered this morning...) an independent company has apparently created a clone, dumbed down version of pages from the website, and made a 12800 page, 200MB pdf that they sell on Ebay for $20. Definitely not the same, but usable, although with a lot of "GENERAL INFORMATION ONLY" notices in big letters. Just ordered that as well. That said, even with a 12800 page Shop Manual, I'd bet that there will not be many 2015 Jeep Compasses on the road 40 years from now. Says lots about the durability and general simplicity of our older bikes.
End of rant. Sorry.
This XS650 Manual appears a gem. Thanks Hans.
