gracer.......bike looks awesome,,,,,,really dig the single loop frame. would like to get your feedback on the 2 into 1 intake as i am just now trying to figure it out and any input wojuld be greatly appreciated.
btw.....your bike is genuinely awesome. i wanted to build that type of bike with the banana girder front end and ended up with more of a chopper/bobber look.... sometimes the bike tells you what the outcome will be....!
the engine is a 78 and stock other than PMA and PAMCO. Running short straight through pipes. The 2-into 1 i have is from Joe Wiseguy who happens to be here in the Seattle area. The particular model is straight back meaning that both manifold intakes merge into one equally. i am running kick only with starter delete with a capacitor. I will also be running a small 12v, .8ah battery. i currently have a harley CV carb mounted. I got it to start up and the idle was way high so shut it down.....now i cannot get it to start again. checked all components, swapped out reg/rec for HHB reg/rec, swapped out spark plugs, plug wires and coil.....still nothing. either i have a bad PAMCO or the something with my carb.. what carb are you using and what are the jet settings? thank you very much....btw....i can be reached at 253 753 4717....my cell. @wrmdovr I'm running a Amal 930 with a 3.5 slide and 230 jet. I may go to a 240 jet since it was running a little lean. I need to put some more time in before a final review but at this point I good. this was not intended as a performance mod, it is more for the look. Hope you work out your issue and would like to see photos.
i bailed on the 2 into 1....simply could not get it to work and went with 34mm dual mikuni CV carbs. the bike is on the main landing page for xs650.com......the black bike with the banana girder frontend.
