I'm down to choosing between the IRC Wild Flare and the Avon Cobra Chrome, leaning toward the Avon based on reviews (not a lot of reviews on the IRC). Any final thoughts on these two? Anybody have any experience with the Wild Flares?

I just discovered that Avon has a $60 rebate on a set of Cobra Chrome tires. That brings them in line price-wise as the rest. Tough decision!

One additional thought, if he had the bike titled, it would be easier for him to apply for a lost title and transfer ownership to you. That is where I was lucky, no record of title.

Yes, you're basically suing the previous owner. A summons will be served. They don't have to show up to court. It will result in a default judgement in your favor. Much luck!

Here's what I ended up with after patching. Just gotta throw it back together now and tweak the cam chain and rocker arm adjustments to see if I can get it sounding better.

Not as bad as I was expecting. Thought I'd see metal savings all over this filter based on my original post. Guess they're collecting on those 2 magnets. Filter does have a tear on the one end but was expecting this based on all of the other posts on the subject that I've read about on the site...

What about valve clearance settings? Should I go tighter that book settings?

Also, float level was verified with hoses attached to drain plugs

I have 150 lbs compression on both sides. Carbs were rebuilt by me but somebody had already bumped up the jets. Currently the carbs have 137.5 mains 135 air jets and 45 pilot jets. Mix screws turned out 3-3.5 turns. I adjusted the cam tensioner then the valve clearance but I believe I used book...
