How bad are the carbs? Jets could be plugged up, not getting fuel

I don't have the stock wiring anymore had someone build me a barebones kit, just running lights, starter, and pma, thanks. I'll chase wires

I got the battery charging now. It's a newer battery so I doubt it's that, but I fully charge will help. The headlight stopped working the other day, so maybe it's related? Look like I need to check some wires. Thanks

Yes. Valve clearance was good, got 120ish psi from LH with open throttle and push start,

Got 12.2 then ignition on got 12.0. Bike running 12.02

I'm not sure the difference between the two ignitions I'm sorry but it is a red xs charge ignition. And yes it has run right on this system

Ok new update, sorry to mention I'm running Mike's xs charge pma system. I used a timing light and I'm dead on. Bike was running on two cylinders after I adjusted the timing. But now it's only running right cylinder. I cleaned the carbs again but nothing. It backfires out left carb manifold and...

I got it running. It was my timing. Idles great no popping. Thanks for the help!!

I have not. That will be my next step. It was running on both cylinders a couple days ago. It sat for one night then problem started. I'll check valve and timing, and update you thanks

1979 bs38. Carbs are clean, have spark, have compression, using k&n pod filters. Left cylinder not running just pops out the exhaust and carb boot. Any advice would be great.

I just installed a xs charge pma. With red xs electronic ignition. When turning over the engine by hand, does the advancement supposed to open and close. Because mine does not. When I twist the advancement rod counterclockwise it works correctly. Any advice would be great.
