I used Duplicolor automotive clear It DOES not appear to like fuel spills! So unless you're going for a patina'd look that doesn't necessarily have to be perfect all the time it's probably not the right choice. I noticed when I spilled fuel on it, it hazed, it was however still quite fresh...
