    Thanks, that’s a lot of info, very helpful. Pretty obvious I’ve been stung, lucky I really like these bikes and I’m in it for the long haul, whatever it takes. The plan of a concourse resto has been well and truly sunk. At the moment I’ll be happy just getting it running properly.

    Hi mick, all my guzzis are 70s models, I’m pretty much locked in that decade. Even managed to see led zeppelin at the sydney sports ground in the early 70s. Still the best concert I’ve ever seen, and the first. Thanks very much for all the info 650 skull. The chassis number is S650207580

    The instruments are dead on my Frankenstein72 Xs650. In the past I have had great success with Veglia and Honda instruments simply dismantling, cleaning with computer grade electrical cleaner and sometimes polishing components. A tiny drop of light machinery oil also occasionally works wonders...
