The instruments are dead on my Frankenstein72 Xs650. In the past I have had great success with Veglia and Honda instruments simply dismantling, cleaning with computer grade electrical cleaner and sometimes polishing components.
A tiny drop of light machinery oil also occasionally works wonders in the channel through the instrument face the needle axle runs through.
Managed to get the case off the tacho and free it up so far and it is working, but only reading to 2,000rpm and very slow to return to zero.
Anyone have any experience with these instruments.
