Fork lower compatibility in early models

Thanks for the info. What is the best way to look up parts diagrams, partzilla? I used to use bike bandit, but they disappeared while I was away.

Fork lower compatibility in early models

So, based on what I read, the axle length isn't different, it's just the triple tree spacing, so trying to use what I have isn't going to work without some lathe work. I'm thinking my fork legs were not original 73 items since they have 2 pinch bolts. Just to confirm then, 74-76 fork lowers...

After a couple of replies, it looks like I am looking for a rack that will fit 75-78 standard models. The special frames were different. Thanks for the replies I have gotten so far.

    new guy intro

Well, as of now, just ride it! :bike: Once the weather gets better that is. When i got it, it was sort of a runner, the guy I bought it from knew just enough to mess a bunch of stuff up. The bike had obviously been down, the turn signals were mis-matched, the paint is poorly redone, and the...

Hi all- I signed up a couple of months ago, and figured it was time for my intro. I've had bikes for about 12 years now, and got my first xs650 last summer. It has been a bike I have been after for awhile now, I just had to clear up enough space for another one. Well, now I'm down to just...
