Thank you for taking the time. It's nice to read and imagine what powers what in word form.It helps me imagine where everything flows to and follow colors.I'm trying to bypass all the safety switch stuff. Just want it minimal to pass NY inspection.Headlight, tail, brake,blinkers and horn.
I started taking it all apart so I can see what wire goes where. All the plastic connectors are there and look fine.What is the little box covered in rubber behind the battery box do?(not the rectifier underneath) It says Koito 12V 1 on it, in pic it's by the screwdriver and ball of black tape...

I have read they need an air box or some kind of air filter to mix air/fuel right. It makes sense.Plus keep the road dust out of the engine is as important.I couldn't believe it is running even as good as it is with those straight pipes and nothing but a battery feeding coils. I like the look of...
I'm not a novice but far from being able to do it for a living.That would be a dream come true.It's cold here most the time,and probably why ya can still find an old fixer upper with low miles now and then cheap.Our riding season is pretty short.
