Thank you for the help, the switch is working again! Next task is getting a working headlight mine is burned out high and low beam, and mount front brake parts... wish me luck as I work on it when I can find a few min.

Looking for a headlight. My bucket is fine but the light itself is out, looking for a stock original or halogen upgraded piece that will fit stock 7" bucket or a complete headlight assy that would mount without major fabrication with room for wiring like stock. Scott

I replaced the handle bars on my 81 XS650 so I could mount a new m/c to start get front brakes working and no longer have anything when I press the starter button. Kicks over great, but starter button does nothing now. Could this be a ground issue? The new bar is painted black, could that make a...

Did you have more than 1? Looking for the front fender

I have tried to get my "new" xs650 to stop with front brakes and gave up. I bought a new stock type 14mm m/c, ss single brake line, brake pads and a caliper rebuild kit to install. I would prefer to replace the caliper with a more modern multi piston caliper if that would improve over stock...

Add me into this list as well please. I have not modified anything on mine yet, other than a seat swap, but my exhaust is past due for replacement and looks bad too.

I have owned a few XS400's and currently have 1 for parts and 1 project and bought my first XS650 after a Long search for one. I am not sure what I will do besides ride this one but must replace the two up seat with integrated backrest for something else... Off to he DMV to pay again 06...
