18 inch or 16 inch rear wheel

I got the standard tubes off of a parts bike that I bought. I'm pretty sure that Mikes XS has them though. I'm thinking that I saw them on his website.

18 inch or 16 inch rear wheel

One of you asked for a picture of my XS2 with the 16 inch rear wheel. Sorry for the delay, but here it is. The bike had extended fork on it when I got it. I've got stock sized tubes on it now. The next thing to go will be the mini-apes.

    Starting after long term storage

I'm nearing a point where I want to try to start my 1972 XS2. I bought the bike at an estate auction, and I have no idea how long it has been sitting. I'd like to try to start it to see if there are major issues, before I proceed to spend a lot of money on cosmetics, brakes, tires, etc...

    16 inch tire question

The tire that's mounted on my 16 inch rim right now is a Harley Davidson Dunlop, size MU85B16. That's a size nomenclature that I'm not used to seeing. What common size does that translate to? That old tire just barely clears the frame and chainguard, by maybe a .001 or .002. What would be the...

    16 inch tire question

I just put a 19 inch Dunlop K70 front tire on my X2 model. I was planning to put an 18 inch K70 on the rear. But my 18 inch rear wheel rim is pretty rough. After cleaning up my 16 inch rear wheel, it looks very nice. So, I thought, I'll just buy a 5:00 X 16 K70 and use the 16 inch wheel. But is...

    rear rim for an XS2

Yes, I would be interested in it, depending on condition and price. Yes, I would be interested in a used one, depending on condition and cost. I'm not interested in one with much rust. Otherwise, I'm not too picky.

Heavy Metal. Rust Removal and plating

For years, I have used a handful of drywall screws along with my cleaner, or with my stripper if trying to remove sealer too. I've tried lots of things but the drywall screws are pretty effective

    rear rim for an XS2

I've decided that I'd like to lace up a new original style rear wheel. I'm curious to know if any of you can recommend a reasonably priced rim that youve used for this, and have been happy with. In past years, on other brand bikes, I've bought some pretty poor quality rims from various asian...
