It has brass floats...the idle screw caps are still in place as well. I do also have a new petcock, with filter as well as an inline filter and new gas line

CPT: I think they're 34's, it's on an '81 Gary..I am sure you're absolutely right about them being fixable, I have gotten several PM's with tips and plan to go through these carbs again. If I were to find a set that actually worked for 100 or so I could afford that but so far on ebay all I saw...

I just ordered one of the kits, waiting on it to get here now. I am sure it could be done cheaper...but considering the time involved in measuring, bending, gathering of materials, etc. I found the price to be more than reasonable.

Anybody got a GOOD set of carbs 4 sale?? Hopefully cheap?? I have cleaned mine several times and still am not getting fuel! I am over-budget on this bike and broke as hell so I need to get it running!! Let me know what you have!! Thanks!!

Well...I pulled the carbs and took them to work with my yesterday (my compressor isn't hooked up at home yet). I took the carbs apart, cleaned and thoroughly blew out all the passages. I am gonna pull the carbs tomorrow, read through the info from Travis and go through them again. Is there a way to bench test them....or do I just have to put them back on and try to start it????

Is the choke feed jet what gives it fuel at initial start-up????? Also even when I start it on ether it dies as soon as the ether hit runs out.....seems to not be pulling fuel at all
