I run the old school Shinko e240 mt90-16 on the back and a 21 inch Avon speedmaster on the front. I have not had any issues at all in dry or wet conditions. Sometimes I forget the back tire is blocky and have leaned the bike over pretty far around corners it has always tracked great.

Harley's stock length on a springer is 22 inches.
