Harley Davidson is in partnership with Chinese manufacturer QJ Motors ( which owns the former Italian Benelli brand ).

They are currently in production of two models, a 338 cc single built to compete with RE’s 350 Meteor and Hondas 300. Plus a new 500cc twin. Both bikes are modified Benelli engines already in production. It’s unclear to me if these are being built for Asian markets or will also be imported elsewhere.

Matters not one bit to me. I try my best to NOT buy Chinese products.

Diverting your eyes from what the Harley brand is becoming is like ignoring the fact that your wife is prostituting herself down the street.

That's just a METAPHOR, guys, a METAPHOR. Or a simile; heck, I failed English. :(

Oh, I'm well aware of what H-D has become. And the metaphor is spot on.

Things didn't go really well for H-D when they bought in Italian two-smokes and re-badged them.
They can posture all they like about "attracting new riders" and "giving the youngsters something H-D to buy that's affordable", but a turd is a turd, no matter how much you try to polish it.
A famous quote from the yachting world... A designer looking at a bad America's Cup boat hanging in the lift slings... "A turd is pointed at both ends too..."
