Bought from an ad on Facebook for $600...fantastic shape.

Although purple happens to be my favorite color (for real), this beautiful paint job doesn't look very Street Tracker-ish.

Not sure how long for the world this paint job will be?

Just gently laid it on my 80 Special while I was doing the cam chain/valve adjustments...thus the tail sitting up funny.

Nice score!

Nice score!

Yeah, I wasn't really looking for a full enclosure type seat section...would rather do the white number plates with flat track seat section separately.

But, as we all know now...Omars outta business and there just arent any out there for sale so I snagged this set for sure!!

Its far better than nothing and its all in prime condition...the fuel tanks never even had fuel in it.

I understand that it's not how one envisions a street tracker, but you don't see pristine vintage artwork every day, and it would be kind of a shame to paint over it...
Oh trust me, Im a purist that loves vintage stuff.

I dont know if I'll ever actually have the heart to go through with it...its that nice.

I have to agree with DogBunny. If you don't want it on your bike as it is make a wall display out of it. It looks like it was done professionally.

Hmmmm I would have guessed it was painted recently.

Looks like modern paint techniques but I certainly could be wrong.

There's several glass suppliers still out there but Omar's was specifically made to fit the XS frames.
First Klass Glass, Grand Prix Glass, Phil Little and Goon Rubber and Glass are examples of glass people still around

I should clarify my earlier statement about "none being out there"...I meant no Omars stuff being for sale anymore since he's retired.

I wanted one of his 650 tanks specifically because they fit so well and look so close to an XR750 tank.

The tail enclosure style is kinda growing on me, still not certain which way I'm going to go yet though.

Now that I have my Omars tank, I still may go with one of these Saddleman brand seat set ups with the number plates fastened to the frame separately.

Decisions, decisions.... 🤪

This stuff came from Jackson, Mississippi so you're probably correct...good eye!

I'd love to see the pics if you can find em.

That was quite a bike. Hopefully, it lives on with different bodywork. I think this was November 2018, but definitely Vicksburg Motorcycle Show.

I recall at a hill climb in 79 in Bay City,Wi, I’d just finished and rode one of the first Kawasaki H2 climbers.Omar’s was a hot topic for what our“Big Machines” needed.Followed him through the years and recall him selling and eventually was in California.Lost track and the Omar’s label fate.Interesting share.Great memories.
