Hi again,

I am totally baffled, my original flasher unit didn't work so I purchased one from MikesXS and it didn't work, I then purchased an original one from eBay and it did the same and the original (video), I then got a cheap one from Amazon and didn't work. I don't know what to try next.

Back to my questions. There has to be enough current to operate the flasher. What lamps are installed? For example, LED lamps require a No Load flasher.
Absolutely. First thing I would look for. Though, often led bulbs cause rapid flashing rather than no flashing. But how the cancelling unit would work with led bulbs, I have no idea.

I don't have LED bulbs they are all standard. I found out after I made this post that this model might have a self-cancelling unit?

Yes
One time replacing can happen
two times it is a rule
three times it is clear

I would check connectors and switches and service -- grind and give some contact grease Perhaps measure actual voltage at the lamp socket

My mental masturbation:

Maybe connect the new flasher directly to one set of indicator lights using power direct from the battery: You will probably need 2 light bulbs to add sufficient load to the flasher unit. If it does not work then add a new temporary Earth wire direct to the battery chassis connection just to try and narrow down were the issue lies i.e. Power or Earth lines.

Good luck.

In my experience.....
A low battery will light the indicator up but won't have enough juice to flash.

The turn signal wires in the headlight bucket being chocolate brown and dark green can easily be mistaken at a quick glance as being black ground wires, especially with years of dirt on them.

Re: the cancelling unit. Bypass it and throw it in the holler. Not much more disconcerting than putting the turn signal on to alert the SOB that's tailgating you, only to have it be cancelled before the turn........if you engage it again before turning NOW it wants to continue flashing until the revolutions trigger the reed switch to cancel. Much less stress to put it on until you turn and then manually turn it off after.
Other opinions may vary.
Your condition does seem odd.

OK, so there are 3 connectors on the flasher I take that one is 12v power, ground and switch, how do I know witch is witch?

Usually the terminals have a number. Sometimes there's a small schematic on the flasher relay casing. Failing that, there's millions of images on the internet that will help you identify the terminals.

It looks to me like the Y/G. If I’m wrong someone please correct me but following the other wires that looks to be the one.
