Boys, last year before i parked the xs650 for the winter (Toronto), the bike ran fine. I didn't use any additives in the gas. This season after my bar and tank change/swap (i dont think this is related), i went to start it and it has trouble staying on when the choke is closed, and it back fires...

Whats up fellas....yesterday i installed a new set of bars along with the grips, and now the starter wont fire, but kick start works. It worked fine before the work was done. I'm puzzled, any ideas what it could be? The battery is fine. Thanks

Guys..my bike has issues starting when its cold..it takes 4 or 5 tries, but eventually starts. Whereas in the summer...it starts on the first shot every time. What can you guys equate this to?

Hi guys..i have a 1980 XS650, and i found a headlight i like, its a headlight and bucket. This headlight only has 3 wires, but my headlight has the spaghetti factory of wires inside the bucket. Will this be a problem? Aside from signals which will be moved to the forks.

How's it going guys...is there an adapter available that will move the bars back a little so that I can lower the front end a few more inches? As you may know...in the current position, it will only allow the front end to go down an inch or so max.

Guys...i want to add clip on's to my bike..1980 xs650, but the chrome headlight brackets are in the way...can i remove them? It looks like the headlight is being supported by the adjusting nut below it. Also..what type of work is involved in installing gators? Does the whole front end have to...

I noticed on a few sites they list the size of the bars...what size do i need for my 1980 XS650? I haven't decided if im doing clips ons, or bars....in any event, what size do i need for either? thanks boys....this site has been instrumental to my build.

Whats up fellas...i have a 1980 XS650..recently i bought a tank to replace what i have, the guy said it will 100% fit my bike. I just noticed that my tank has one petcock and the tank i bought has 2 petcocks....will this work on my bike? I also bought the side covers that came off the same...

Hows it going guys...i have a 1980 xs650 that is new to me...there is oil leaking (la lot) from the housing where the oil filter is. What do you guys think? Where should i start? (on a side note...where is the oil drain plug?)
