Ignition swap outs.
Greetings everyone. I don't know if any remember the xs650 I was restoring in some of my earlier posts. Someone suggested that i switch out the nylon screws on my stator. Which I did and it no longer shorts out. My last issue would be the ignition. The motor is a 78 and the frame and wiring...- Thestranger

83 with a 78 motor
So I put a 78-79 series XS motor in my 83 xs650. Everything is in and fits nicely. Problem I am running into is electric. Shorting out and blowing main fuse.:banghead: Traced it back to the alternator. I heard somewhere that I would need to use plastic screws on the alternator hookups. Is this...- Thestranger
