Hi all, In need of 2 Fuel cocks left and right with an internal length between fixings of 46mm. Preferably non-vacuum. Does anyone have any they may wish to part with or could point me in the direction of new ones.
Ordered some off yambits however too narrow and will be returning.

So In my case the spark plug caps already had the resistance built in so I was doubling the resistance by adding the BPR7ES plugs hence such small indistinguishable spark.
I’ve never had the bike running.
originally it was a un-registered US-import, it had a half complete points system that I have removed and replaced with a PMA CDI system. This gets a good spark, just a question if whether it sparks at the right time.
Currently there are no filters on, and a straight pipe exhaust, (temporary). Primary focus is to get it running then it’s coming out to get the frame painted. It’s jetted for foam filters and a twin side exit exhaust.
So I’ve got a 77 xs. I’ve just had the carbs fully stripped cleaned and rebuilt. Put them back on, kick it over and I get loads of back pressure to the point where the carbs pop off. They’re even clamped on! The valves look clear. They open and close and the exhaust isn’t blocked.
Does anyone...
I’m not entirely sure on the make and model of the one I’ve got. I’m borrowing it off of my friends friend. It’s not big enough to fit an entire carb in. You have to flip it over for it to do it all. I was looking on Facebook market place and found one or two for £90 that looked fairly decent...
Awesome thank you for the information I’ve just been to euros and got the BPR7ES spark plugs and will try those.
Yeah I’ve lived in Alton also since 2005 it’s a nice town slowly expanding unfortunately.
So I just installed a PMA CDI ignition system onto the XS. However I’m not getting any spark.
I’ve tested the spark plugs and they gave continuity but no resistance. Upon research I should have around 5000 OHM resistance through the spark plug whoever I only have 3 OHM. (I made sure the...
So I purchased a domino single pull throttle for my XS and for obvious reasons the XS 650 standard throttle cable does not fit with the metal bend. Any suggestions for aftermarket cables that would fit a low bar XS or is there an option to build your own?
Hi All.
Stripped my Mikuni BS38 carbs apart this evening off of my 77 xs650, ready for the ultrasonic cleaner.
Where can I get replacement parts, and what should I replace now it’s all disassembled? And how do I learn what sizing the jets are etc.
Thanks for any help.
Pictures attached.

My dad will be in the US in early December. If I haven't found one by then I might take your offer, then the shipping will only be internal and he can bring it back in his suitcase.
Thats the one, yeah they're definitely more available in the US, might have to get one shipped over, or even collect one the next time my dads over in early December.
Hello folks,

My 1978 Yamaha XS650SE is currently being transported to me as I write this. It is however missing a left engine cover. Does anybody have one spare, know of someone selling one, or where they might be readily available. I'm not having much luck online...
