    Flasher Relay help.

Posting to let you guys know that I fixed my own problem - being my first time working with stuff like this, I automatically assumed 3 wires, 3 ports, should work. What I was doing wrong, was taking the direct power into the solid state relay (which was fine), but then I was plugging the output...

    Let's See The XS's

The tail light I picked up from a company called "Radiantz LED" I gave 'em the dimensions I wanted, and told them what I wanted it to do, and they hooked me up with "Radiantz LED Premium Integratorz." along dual element circuits and what not to set the whole light up as running / brake. The...

    Flasher Relay help.

My bike is a 1978 SE model, I recently converted to an LED tail light with turns, running, and brake all integrated into a single bar light - and ran into the obvious issue of the stock mechanical flasher relay not tripping due to the lack of resistance from my new lights having less draw than...

    Let's See The XS's

[/IMG] Been a long time coming, but I figured I'd finally get around to posting a picture of my XS now that it's running smoothly and starting to look the way I want it to =)

    18 inch rear wheel help

Looking to replace the 16" rear wheel on my 78 650 SE with an 18" wheel. Can anyone give me a run down on what I would need / need to do to make it happen? I see people talk about it, but haven't seen any instructional bits on it.

    Raising the rear end

So I see a lot of people on google and random forums that want to lower their bike, can't find anyone that wants to raise it though, haha. My question is, is it possible to raise the rear end of my bike through adjustment a decent amount? Or should I just go out and buy taller shocks for the...

    Cafe Seat mounting questions.

I've got a 78 XS650 special that came with a hideous, 8 inch deep, side-latching seat that kills the look I'm going for on the bike. I posted a thread a few days back and got some excellent help identifying a seat I'd taken a liking to - having now found the source and decided on a seat model, I...

    Looking for a cafe seat

Lassenc, that site looks like it has a lot of really close options, if not an exact match - why does that place not show up under any google searches? Those seats look great... That said - what would I have to check and measure to facilitate fitting a new seat on the bike? Should there be any...

    Looking for a cafe seat

I'm looking to replace the seat on my 78 XS650 with a cafe-style seat, and found one I really liked the look of on a random forum. It seems their admin is long gone, because my account for the site still hasn't been confirmed after two weeks, so I figured I'd copy the link and see if you folks...

    White gas-smelling smoke, right exhaust.

Thanks for the chart for the mix screws, I ordered a guide from mikesxs last week for the bike, but it's not supposed to show up til Wednesday-ish. I did what you guys said and re-set the screws to factory, but that didn't seem to do anything for the smoke problem. After letting it warm up...

    White gas-smelling smoke, right exhaust.

I think the petcocks are different from stock - since there's no "Prime" option that people talk about when I read up, I just close them and gas stops coming out of my left carb (I think the right side was draining into the left carb while it was on the sidestand.)

    White gas-smelling smoke, right exhaust.

Hiya folks, I'm new to the forums, and motorcycles in general (picked up my first bike, a 78 XS650 SE a week ago.) The bike ran fine without much problems getting it home from the seller, a little sluggish, but I figured it was from the bike sitting for a few years. I came out to the garage...
