ever think of doing a user map. So when guys/girls are searching for members in an area they could just refer to the map...the customtacos website does this for its members, an easy way to search profiles and people in your area.....just a thought

whats the procedure for a compression test. Is it done dry and then wet, wide open throttle or not. I want to check mine but i wanna make sure its done right....

this is a clutch from a 78 motor i got when i got my 81. Its a 7 plate so it wont work with my 81 6 plate. Comes complete with the basket, 7 clutch plates, 6 drive plates, all the spacers,clutch springs and screws. The drive plates are alittle rusty, clean or replace, there only 6 bucks a piece...

so in my build of my 81 xs ive come to the point where i need to hide the electrics, i have to use the blinkers/tailights/battery....basically everything!!! What have you guys done and are there photos? any help appreciated

can i swap my 78 clucth cover over to my 81? I know my 81 has less clutch discs so i thought it might fit. The 78 also doesnt have the oil sight on the side.....plus i just cleaned, sanded, painted it so it better fit...

whats the normal charging voltage on my 81 xs? Just bought her two weeks ago and today was the first day i could work on it. Happy to say she fired up but ran at 12.85 volts with out fluctuating...im an ase cert. auto tech and most cars/trucks charge at 13.5-14.5 so the 12.85 seem ok but im not...

I NEED PARTS.......building a brat style 81 xs650.....im looking for a right side petcock for an older sportster tank, need some ape hangers, 12-15" with cables, solo seat w/wo springs, battery/electrical box.....im sure theres more...let me know what youve got...

so i just got my 81 xs650 and i started going through to make it road worthy again. My first issue will be the clutch. The handle is very hard to pull so i popped off the clutch cover and checked the actuator which appears to be fine, extends normally, smooth operation when the cover is off...
