Hi Ohiorides1 I run both Hugh's PMA & pamco on my 277 rephrase & have had them on for a few years now. My 10c worth the PMA has worked well apart from the wire's becoming un soldered due to the battery + lead coming loose had them resoldered no drama's but I wish Hugh would go the extra distance...

I run 750 re/phase 17/32 is where mine's at tried 18/32 17/30 etc. if your mainly doing flat h/way work maybe 17/31, mine went slower & used more fuel on 17/30 which is a sure sign of over gearing

If the points are doing your head in spring for a pamco set & forget but points are doable, I also have XS 750 with 3 set's of points try that LOL when I rephased the engine I couldn't afford a Pamco so moved one set of points took a lot of tinkering butt I made it work good luck keep trying it...

Almost forgot the piston have the same skirt length but the std, Yam one's have a small tag on them making them a bit longer(like the Hieden one's)
