As I recall,I had to make my own holes in the fender,and I used very small stainless socket head,buttonhead screws. It looked better with the round heads.
It is an after market Fender very similar to a softail custom front fender. I made the side brackets,they bolt into the holes in the fork legs,and then bolt to the fender. I'd send ya a picture but I sold the bike last year! Good luck.
As a side note,however you do it, wrap every painted part of the frame with muti layers of newspaper. this will keep you from scratching your newly painted frame.
ive done this on a lot of different bikes. it is cool,and doesnt break the bank. I dont use clamps at the the top of the boot because I dont think they look good. I use heavy black zip ties. Y'all might wanna try that,and see if ya like the looks.
Lots of times,you can't fix it until it breaks!!!! Well,it's broke so now fix it,and from this point on,you will know what's under you. At least the rear break parts.
I think those pistons are chromed over steel. If they are pitted,it's past the chrome. No amount of polishing will fix that. It will leak past the seal. Why do all that work just to do it a second time the right way??
I use antique style wire loom. Check out Mac's Antique Auto parts. Lockport NY. It makes a good looking harness. run your wires through it,and cut holes where you need a wire to exit it.
I ground those buggers all smooth. The two bosses welded to the side we are looking at were a perfect fit for my stock ignition switch. just had to drill them out a little.
I always thought small tires/wheels fell into road bumps,and made for a harsh road ride. Where as the 21" can roll over those dipes,and holes in a road,and smooth out the ride???
That project looks killer. I did the whitewall rear tire on one of my builds. i came to regret it because it gets covered in chain oil all the time. Even new seals didn't fix that. Keep the vasoline on the whitewall so you can wipe it down on a regular basis. Keep up the good work,and keep the...
