Simple question really, for the un-rephased XS650 is there any advantage in having two coils rather than one and a wasted spark, given a Pamco ignition system etc. Perhaps two coils run cooler / last longer? I was thinking about the MikeXS ultimate high output ignition coil.

This is a long shot, but here goes. I know Yamahas usually use a 1:5 tachometer ratio. Unfortunately the tachometer I'd like to use which matches the speedometer is 1:4 ratio. Is there anyway I can change the ratio to be 1:4? Thinking maybe engine side or tacho side?
