interesting...never knew that about the steering bearings. no hi beam. I'm not thrilled about that but I rarely use it anyway. Got it connected and yes it does work with the ground attached to the metal grommet in the headlight shell. I may end up splicing in with the old headlight ground...

not sure about the electrical pics, but the first one like sand said is the clutch push rod. stock rods are three pieces with bearings in between them. its fine that you took it out, but when you put it back make sure the tapered end is facing out. also, wondering where i can find a helmet like...

took the LH cover off last night. nothing really awry except that i did notice some free play as you described from the shaft connected to the shifter foot pedal. it was probably about 1/3" maybe a bit less. I wasn't able to get the RH cover off. I thought i got all 10 screws out but the damn...
