Im installing a 1970 motor into a 1979 frame. Are all the motor mounts different or is it just the top mounts. I know you have to match mounts to the year of the motor, just don’t know if all the mounts are different.
No, you match mounts to the year of the frame.
Except for the 70-71 engine, which is kick-only. To get a 70 engine into a 79 frame you're going to have to fabricate a custom front motor mount.
All of the other mounts will be 1979.
The rear lower mount, which is a bolt about 5-3/8" long, is the one mount that works on all years, all motors, from 1970-1983.
